This is something I haven't attempted before - an online challenge - I think they are a brilliant way of getting the creative juices flowing, but I have never dared enter one before! Anyway, here goes. The challenge is on Ready-Steady-Stamp! and here is the link: http://www.readysteadystamp.blogspot.com/
The challenge is an interesting one - there is a list of "ingredients" and they all must be included, along with at least one stamp, but how you include them is open to interpretation. They are: Cats or dogs; black and gold; three different brads; faux-batik technique and a book or newspaper page. Anyway, go and have a look, I'm sure you'll find it intriguing and fun. Oh and they have a rule - no cute. Suits me!

a beautiful inspiration!
Love all the different elements and colours
hi, it's not always easy to see on a picture, but we are wondering if you have used the faux-batik technique ingredient. If so, where ?

I love what you have done with this Chris, so much detail and wonderful combination of colours. I am sure you will be joining in more stamping challenges. I see to be stuck in 'cute' mode at present!
Hi everyone and thanks for your kind comments. I hope what I have done to make the yellow cat in the middle qualifies as faux batik. I sprayed the paper with yellow glimmer mist, then stencilled the cat on with versamark through a stencil and embossed it with clear EP. I then sprayed more glimmer mists over it, in deep orange and dark brown, and when it was dry I ironed off the EP leaving the yellow cat showing. I hope that's OK.
Very great work!!Beautiful card!
This realization is superb! I adore!

Great job, I love the cats page you chose as your background and the silhouette cat looks great in the centre of that compass!
